GCSE Results 2023
Outstanding GCSE results at London East Academy again!
Once again, London East Academy has achieved outstanding results this summer in GCSEs. Class of 2023 at London East Academy enjoyed exam success with 91% of pupils gaining grades 9-5 including English & maths.
The GCSE results reflect five years of determined work from our governors, staff, parents and students. Given the challenging circumstances we have been under, we are proud of how all of our school community have worked together in partnership and thus are able to celebrate the success of our students’ achievements.
Headteacher of Al-Mizan & London East Academy, Ustadh Badr, expressed his enthusiasm for the remarkable achievements of the Class of 2023, despite the turbulent national academic landscape. He commented, "We are immensely proud of our students for their exceptional performance in the GCSE examinations this year. Achieving a 91% success rate with grade 5 (high C) or above in 5 GCSE subjects, including English and Maths, is a testament to their dedication and the unwavering support of our parents, guardians, and governors. These results showcase the power of collaboration and the resilience of our students in overcoming challenges. As they step into the next chapter of their academic journey, we are confident that they are well-prepared to make meaningful contributions to the world."
A message from the chair of governors:
On behalf of the Governing Body of London East Academy and Al Mizan School, I would like to congratulate both students and staff on an outstanding set of GCSE and SATs results.
For many of our pupils this will bring to an end their formal education, which has occurred during the most unprecedented time. They have worked extremely hard in the most unusual of circumstances, whilst being supported by staff academically, emotionally and practically, to achieve these outcomes.
The success we are having is a result of a lot of hard work and support from the senior leadership team, the staff, and parents. As governors, we are committed to continue to provide the best education for all our children. We remain resilient in the face of whatever challenges we may encounter.
We hope, as students, you will show gratitude to Allah for everything that He has given you, and continue to strive for success in this world and the next.
Hussain Shefaar,
Chair of Governors
